February is going to be a big month at Great Earth. We start out with Happy Hour, every Thursday from 4-6 p.m. Check out our fabulous $5 appetizers. We are rolling out a bunch of small bites, including hand-made pita bread paired with tasty spreads. Don't miss our Valentine's Day Wine Tasting on February 14th. So what if Valentine's Day falls on a Tuesday? We are celebrating with a selection of wines to sample, new chocolates and more appetizers. It is the perfect Valentine's Day gift for the one you love--affordable and delicious!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 17 for the Community Read at Great Earth. This year's book is Brian Doyle's Mink River, a poetic tale set in a small Oregon coastal town that explores the community and how the lives of its members are intertwined. It is a mystical story full of humor amid the secrets of this fictional location and its characters. Great Earth will be tasting a series of wines from Lange Vineyards in Dundee, where Mr. Doyle previously worked. More details to come!

Gluten Free Choices

If food sensitivities have you going gluten free for the new year, have no fear! Great Earth has awesome gluten free choices, including breads, cookies, desserts and more.

Our January grocery specials include Rudi’s gluten-free, multigrain sandwich bread. It is a great choice, particularly if we don’t happen to have a loaf of our fresh-baked, gluten-free bread available. Top your bread with Earth Balance buttery spread, which is also on sale this month.

We also have some new, gluten free breakfast options. Try our mixed berry-sour cream coffee cake. It is deliciously moist. Want something savory, instead? How about the gluten free cheesy breakfast scone. Top it with creamed ham for a hearty start to the day. Don't forget we also have gluten free substitutions to our regular menu. Just ask!
